You forgot to include the activity icons and the buddy icons in your
filter. Did that in the patch pushed.
Like in the filter-in-home-view-patch: I would like the filter constant
to be factored out in the future since we use it in several places now.
I guess sugar/style.py is a good place.

PS: In general I think the alpha value is too high here. The difference
between a filtered and an unfiltered value is not enough (the 0.33 value
works well for the launcher though). I had better experience with a
value of 0.15 for example.
