[Sugar-devel] [DESIGN] Palette based tool combobox

Hi all,

Original issues with native comboboxes:

* only one column, user has to scroll it

* ugly gtk behavior when if bottom item was previously chosen, new combo
  popup will show it at current position thus to see bunch of upper
  items use has to scroll the list (see atached files)

So, it could be implemented in palette.
Any idea how such palette could look like?
Some examples are attached.

Issues:

* since length of item captions could be diferent, some size in toolbar
  sould be reserved (like in original combobox) but drawing only text
  looks ugly (see 1-1.png) - there is empty space between new combobox and
  right items

* ugly look if while popping up the palette, caption was included to palete
  frame (see 2-2.png)
