Could you raise this issue on "debian-olpc-devel"
<debian-olpc-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org> (CCed) for feed back from
the .deb team?  Possibly Jonas could help us to understand the debian
roadmap.

I don't understand the technical issues well enough to participate in
the conversation.
