For the record, I would support removing Restart too.

Unless, of course, I were required to dogfood the system, in which case
I would demand a proper Restart function :-)

Seriously, it's hard to think of a use-case where Restart is useful, yet
it's present in *all* desktop systems. It may even be used more often
than Shutdown. Why? Probably as a remedy for assorted system bugs, which
means that Sugar needs a Restart function *more* than any mature
desktop.

Some examples?

 - Restart after registering to the XS

 - Restart *before* registering to the XS

 - Restart to get rid of spurious pulsing icons in the frame

 - Restart when an activity won't let you quit it

 - Restart when you get dead downloads in the journal that won't go away

Admittedly, all the above issues could be cured much more quickly with
the good old CTRL-ALT-BS sequence. Then, shall we tell users about the
Xorg nerve pinch and leave out Restart?
