Certainly not.

In some ways it (*) already got worse - see the recent Xorg decision to
use a fixed DPI value.

Oh yeah, my pet peeve. None of the CLI tools for NM that I tried so far
were really useful, and this one doesn't look any better. :-/
I don't need a way to script pressing a button on nm-applet, I need a
full-featured replacement for it. I need a way to _configure_ "system"
connections, not just use them.
(*) Actually I'm referring to the usual ecosystem around Linux, not the
kernel itself.
