Its called PackageKit :-) See discussions from previously... And with
the good python bindings for it there shouldn't even be too much work
to add support for that into the control panel. And the other massive
advantage that PackageKit has is that it works with multiple package
backends so it will with Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu, SuSE and alot of
other distros as well so it should be usable by all distros :-)
