[Sugar-devel] Java on XO Laptop

on the XO-1 it takes a fair amount
of your freespace (solid state disk)
so you will need to manage what other
stuff you put on.

if getting java applications/ applets
from the web, maybe not as bad..

I seem to recall putting arduinio (a microcontroller)
software that is Java based development environment
on the XO-1 and the screen geometry was a little
different, but I don't think I got it working, iirc,
as started on something else a little while later
(usually fall asleep and onto something else the next
day...)

so try it out or what you want to run, and see.
Computers are a science, and experimenting
is probably the best way to find out what works
for you and your use case...
