But apps do on their first start.

Anyway, this is a packaging issue, representing out-of-DS dirs in the
journal doesn't seem to me like directly attacking the problem.

Other desktops use PackageKit for this, but we are not going to be
able to all interesting activities packaged for all distros anyway.
