Sugar Labs has currently no resources to focus on anything, it depends
on volunteers doing whatever they want. I chose to spend my time to
make easier for more people to bring their knowledge and experience to
Sugar and the community has no say on this.
What we need the community to voice their opinion is on whether to add
Qt to the platform. But nobody has requested that as of yet so I don't
see what the problem is.
If tomorrow someone uploads to ASLO a sugarized version of KStars, is
OLE Nepal or any other deployer harmed by that? They are free to use
it or not as they wish.
