If indeed you want a tool of that kind, then please do not give up even
if at first po4a might seem difficult to actually use.
In my experience it took some time to figure out the actual commands to
use for each routine (extracting master PO template strings, applying
translations, updating translations etc.).
I have found the core po4a design and engine quite robust, but not all
its plugins are of equally high quality.
