Erik, I did apply the patches separately to build 760 (needed some ham  
fisted jiggling on my part to apply as I think they were for the git  
HEAD at some other point in time and things had already moved on).

Does seem to work as described, still running them now, but haven't  
had time to quantify the task switching et al improvements. Didn't  
want to give formal feedback in the track ticket incase my jamming the  
patches into an older build had affected the behaviour.
