[Sugar-devel] transfer pictures from Journal to USB

is there a simple way to simply transfer the whole content of the 
Journal into an USB stick?

I care for the pictures, but I don't mind sorting them out of assorted junk in my Ubuntu 
box later.

Of course I have visited
    http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Copy_to_and_from_the_Journal
and tried
    copy-to-journal.py
with no success

I came up with

cp /home/olpc/.sugar/default/datastore/store/* /media/KINGSTON

which sort of works, but after a few files gives me an "out of space" error (in a 2 GB stick!)


I am too old to try to drag-and-drop within the Journal.
