Yes.

Is it? They all have the same hardware and software ... It will not  
work for stuff involving network for example, but for many cases I'd  
think it would work quite well.

In Etoys there is an "Event Theater" that works like this, and the  
Etoys folks intend to provide many more tutorials based on it.
