In our experience, we have been able to skip over some build errors and
still get a fairly decent running version of sugar.  Hence my perseverence
in sitting through errors in sugar-jhbuild build.

Any event, no, the new error didn't appear to be a freetype.la issue, I was
just reporting the slew of errors even with the -a flag.

Okay, I logged in as a user (not root) and re-ran ./sugar-jhbuild build -a.

Here's the error:
