Working pretty ok on ubuntu here.

That's strange. Try to run
    ./sugar-jhbuild list abiword
which should give you something like
    wv
    abiword

Your last resort may be wiping out the `build-scripts' directory
directly in `sugar-jhbuild', running `git-pull' and try again.
