<pre wrap="">Thomas, actually looking at this further it has been fixed but the
upstream fix hasn't made it to stable yet (stable is on hold due to
the preparations for the Fedora 13 Beta release). Sebastian covered
this in his post to the list [1] but neither of us expected it to be
blocked this long (the beta was delayed by a week). Opening 3 separate
bugs [2] [3] [4] isn't helpful. If you open one bug and continue to
have issues please update the existing bug reports, opening more
duplicate bugs only causes more confusion.

But, as sdz mentioned the problem is fixed and I would like you to
test for me the new version and report back. To do this please do the
following:
1) remove the downloaded irc 5 activity
2) run the following command 'rpm -Uvh
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/packages/sugar-xoirc/6/4.fc13/noarch/sugar-xoirc-6-4.fc13.noarch.rpm">http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/packages/sugar-xoirc/6/4.fc13/noarch/sugar-xoirc-6-4.fc13.noarch.rpm</a>'
which will install the fixed version (note you need a net connection)
3) reply to this message updating on that build as to whether it works or not.

    <pre wrap="">Thomas,

You don't say what's wrong with the version. The way I see it is that
the packaged version of IRC is a slightly later version of the same
application. If its just that it doesn't start we need to debug why
that is. Can you add to the bug the debug output when the shipped
version starts up and add it to the bug report.

go to ASLO
download IRC / Browse: activities Download irc-5.xo

irc-5.xo is the correct Application and works well after this correction.

Note: you must remove sugar-xoirc BEFORE doing Download of irc-5.xo. As
sugar-xoirc seems to block the start of irc-5.xo (maybe because the version
number is higher)

Hi All,

I pushed the following final release sugar 0.88.0 release packages [1]
to both F-13 and rawhide this morning. Thanks to Tomeu and all for
their continued hard work towards the release. Now the hard work ramps
up for the rest of us. They will be showing up in the daily images of
F-13 just as soon as Fedora opens back up post beta release. They will
be in testing before that if you wish to test them earlier. As part of
that I'm going to add the extra previous outlined Activities to the
build so we can test them more easily and closely. This doesn't mean
they'll remain. You can install and test others using yum as well.
We're closing on the release. Please file bugs about all issues that
your aware of.

Peter
