That is what the Mac boot CD is supposed to do.
Enable the Mac to boot from the CD then switch to the USB
look at

 (The USB contains both a boot and an EFI boot folders)

Please do make one, if it works with Soas-v4; you will be a Hero. I will 
gladly test it ( I have no Intel Mac however).

One caveat is that f15 seems destined to use systemd  ( 
http://0pointer.de/blog/projects/systemd.html )  and upstart for 
booting. :  /
It was experimented in early Soas f14 builds and proved much too buggy.

NOTE: As a test. I did burn your soas-3-boot-test.iso to a CD and booted 
with it in a hp Laptop.
It  found and switched to my 2 GB Soas-v3-Mirabelle USB and sucessfully 
started it   : )
