I think have found a simpler solution for generating liveusb's of soas:

1-)
In Gparted a Lexar Jumpdrive Firefly 4GB USB is formatted as:
/dev/sdg1 fat 16 Fedora 1.86 Gib boot
/dev/sdg2 fat 16 My Files 1.86 Gib

2-)
In terminal the first partition writen to:

 ./livecd-iso-to-disk --format --reset-mbr --overlay-size-mb 800
soas-i386-20100329.19.iso /dev/sdg1

This leaves an empty 2 Partition USB with a 2nd partition labeled My Files

3-)
Then a copy of soas-i386-20100329.19.iso pasted from another PC into the
2nd Partition

also loaded in soas are the programs gedit and liveusb-creator

Installed applications:
IRC 5
Pippy 35
Analyize 8
SocialCalcActivity 5
Sugar Commander 2
Browse 114
Turtle Art 83
Log 23
Physics 4
Terminal 31

this USB can make new USB with liveusb-creator called from the terminal.
In the Graphical Program the soas-i386-20100329.19.iso is found in the
"My Files" partition.
This partition is seen on the frame in sugar and can store files for the
user .

Any other live.iso can be pasted into the 2nd "My Files" Partition which
appears on a PC Desktop when it is inserted.

In sugar you only need 2 USB's 1-)Boot USB and 2-)Target to make new
live USB copies.

I have not yet uploaded it. I will if it is needed.. But it is easy to
follow these instructions.

SUGAR_4GB-2 partition USB .img.tar.gz
1.3 GB (1442663854 bytes) compressed
3.7 GB (4009754624 bytes) uncompressed
