[SoaS] [Marketing] Sugar on a Stick Meeting Minutes (2010/06/14)

We had previously discussed how a name shouldn't be obscure... I love
mango lassis as much as the next epicurean, but it is very obscure...
and liquid doesn't stay on a stick unless it is frozen :-/ and we
probably don't want a "frozen" connotation in what we are doing.

I realize it's a bit of a tradition in FOSS projects to find creative,
uncommon and obscure names with a story. But, that's not marketing
that will help us.

At the same time, our theme is "a treat for kids", which a mango lassi
certainly is (http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/sunday-heraldsun/kids-in-the-kitchen-mango-lassi/story-e6frf92f-1225798173709).

I would suggest that the name could work if there is a connection to
India we could make.

I'll make one at the house for my son the next time he is in front of
Sugar... if we're going to break basic marketing rules, we may as well
have a focus group with 1 member

Sean
