Hi David,

the most practical way of making sure that your download isn't
corrupted is to verify the checksum:

http://techcityinc.com/2009/02/06/calculate-md5-and-sha1-on-windows/

The SHA-1 checksum of the file should be the one in this file:

http://download.sugarlabs.org/soas/releases/SHA1SUM

I think that LiveUSB Creator checks it for you.
