Duplicating SoaS with customization
http://lists.sugarlabs.org/archive/soas/2010-April/000998.html
Notes:
* Download these 3 files:
http://people.sugarlabs.org/fgrose/modified_livecd-iso-to-disk
http://people.sugarlabs.org/fgrose/transferSugarImage
http://people.sugarlabs.org/fgrose/newSugarStick
chmod +x for each of these files to let them run as an application
These are available at http://people.sugarlabs.org/fgrose/.
* Copy/paste these 3 scripts* into the USB opened in a PC desktop*
* OR
* in sugar root terminal:
su
cd /mnt/live/
use wget http://...above links to for download.
chmod +x for each
* edit the script :transferSugarImage line: TARGETDEV=/dev/sd(*)1 to
reflect your device address
* (enter "mount" in terminal to find your device address)
In the Terminal Activity of that running SoaS image, enter the command,
/mnt/live/newSugarStick
* scripts are in all sticks created by the first custom stick you build.
*great way to make a customized spin for special uses
eg:custom languages/extra applications etc..
