Caryl;
look at this link:
https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/soas/+question/95622
( It has a possible solution to using the Mac boot cd with a soas USB)
I do not have an intel MAC-so I am unable to help here.
It does sound like you have sucessfully burned the CD's if they show in
your mac as a disk when re-inserted.
Good luck

Now... when I put the disk in and open it to see what is there it shows a picture of a disk and says "soas-1-strawberry.iso" under it. The Blueberry disk has a similar image. Is this correct?

I thought I would try again, so I put in another new CD. When I got the info on the file I had downloaded (for the DVD but also saved on my computer), it said it was 379.9 MB but when I moved it to a burn folder to make the live CD it shrank to 44MB! I didn't try to burn another with this file because something seems to be amiss.
