[SoaS] image writer to USB leaves a USB with no persistence? (non fedora GNU/Linux)

Looks like it is confirmed;

Should I add reference to sh script?

Just made a stick using the instructions on blueberry iso and the
image-writer script on Ubuntu Karmic.

It works well, but does not hold settings or journal entries across
reboots. Is this intended?
