yes, I'm very pleased :-)
There are many takeaways from this success and I will write up a
debrief for the Marketing Team before Tuesday's meeting, but the best
thing is there is no damaging negative coverage - most articles are
about discovery, none are shredding it.
A key takeaway is the impact of my photo of the XO and the Classmate
side by side running Sugar
(http://www.flickr.com/photos/39656470@N02/3648785920/), published by
the BBC and used by several other sites. It has occurred to me that
there are many photos showing XOs with Sugar (usually an old build),
and some photos of netbooks with Sugar, but few with both an XO, a
netbook, and Sugar (with the exception of Mike Lee's). Such a photo,
with the stick poking out of the netbook, communicates Sugar Labs
perfectly: originally part of OLPC, now branching out elsewhere,
technical platform independent. I guess I should put it on the wiki
somewhere, but where?
thanks
Sean
