<br></div><div>Almost all of these questions can be answered by purchasing a sample of the product to examine the included documentation and terms of service. A savvy Android hacker could root the device and determine a great deal about how the custom shell/skin is architected.</div>

</div>I have no answer myself, but I've been very puzzled by this<br>
announcement too.<br>

I hope OLPC does acknowledge the importance of the volunteers<br>
and the importance of answering these questions to them.  And<br>
yes, doing it before the volunteers read stuff in the press<br>
would be ideal too.<br>
