Gonzalo,<br>
<br>
do you think it were possible to somehow push into the server (and
then up to the Internet) suitably anonymous data that tells at least
what activities have been started (at least a count within a
timeframe, say, every week)?<br>
As part of this "cloud" effort?<br>
<br>
Reason: After all these years, we have not yet much reliable data on
whether the XO or Sugar is used or not, or what it is used for, if
at all.<br>
<br>
Background: I have long suspected that there has been no desire for
this data, because it might show bad news, like Sugar or the XOs
being used little or not at all. <br>
However, if that were the case, then we *really, really* need it so
much more, so we can re-direct efforts.<br>
<br>
Likely issues: About anonymity: I am unsure how much the matter of
privacy is a valid excuse for not getting this data. <br>
Since it seems OK to have the tablets distributed in Ethiopia take
pictures of the kids and families very much without their informed
consent, I guess that having data on what Activities get started,
how many times per week would be totally OK, but still believe
privacy should be taken seriously, yet without paranoia. (no, I do
not think those automatic pictures are OK, but that's my personal
opinion). <br>

<div><br>
</div>
<div>* I want to organize, with guys from UY something related
with Python Joven,</div>
<div>the work Flavio Danesse has been doing in the last 2 or 3
years.</div>
<div>Flavio is doing a very good job, in fact, all, or almost all
new hackers in UY,</div>
<div>participated in these events (please Daniel correct me if I
am wrong).</div>
<div>I was in Flavio's house one month ago, talking with him,
trying to see how this success</div>
<div>can be reproduced, but is not so easy. Anyway, we need see
how we can help </div>
<div>put more events like this in movement, the more difficult
part is get teachers involved. </div>
<div>From our part, we can give them visibility, and help get them
(teachers and hackers) </div>
<div>introduced in the community. We know how important is </div>
<div>have guys like Agustin, Daniel and a few more, involved. If
you ask me,</div>
<div>I think future Sugar relevance is linked to the next hackers
generation.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>* I want work in a web view of the Journal, may be first as a
activity,</div>
<div>but later integrated in Sugar. If we have this working, I
think we can improve </div>
<div>the social side of sugar, making easier show results, add
comments, likes, etc.</div>
<div>If we can have this webview working in the schoolserver too,</div>
<div>and sync all the related data, can be a first step in the
cloud direction,</div>
<div>and is not so difficult to start. I share this here, because
is only a idea right now,</div>
<div>and may be is related to the comment from Walter.</div>
