LOCATION: For the first time in its six year history, the Open<br>
Education Conference is moving! This year’s conference will be held in<br>
beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, and will be hosted by the<br>
University of British Columbia.<br>
<br>
DATES: This year's Open Education Conference will be held August<br>
12-14, with pre-conference activities on the 11th.<br>
<br>
COST: Registration fees are greatly reduced this year! The early<br>
registration rate is only $250 Canadian ($215 US) and is good until<br>
July 15.<br>
<br>
CALL FOR PAPERS: The Call for Papers is still open! Proposals are due<br>
by May 15th, and the submission process has been significantly<br>
simplified.<br>
<br>
KEYNOTES: This year's keynote speakers include Fred Mulder, Rector of<br>
the Open University of the Netherlands, Catherine Ngugi, Project<br>
Director of OER Africa, and Ken Freedman, Station Manager and Program<br>
Director of WFMU.<br>
