Eben, welcome to the world of K-8 education IT. There will be G4 machines in schools for years to come. Does anyone know the typical life span of classroom computers? Apple started producing Intel machines 4 years ago, and hasn't produced any PPC machines in the past 3. If we expect the market to last, we should definitely address it, but we should also be careful not to expend too much energy on a platform that won't exist in a couple more years, especially if it comes at the cost of more robust support on Intel macs, or other platforms altogether.
