Eben, welcome to the world of K-8 education IT. There will be G4 machines in schools for years to come. </div>That's true. Does anyone know the typical life span of classroom<br>
computers? Apple started producing Intel machines 4 years ago, and<br>
hasn't produced any PPC machines in the past 3.<br>
<br>
If we expect the market to last, we should definitely address it, but<br>
we should also be careful not to expend too much energy on a platform<br>
that won't exist in a couple more years, especially if it comes at the<br>
cost of more robust support on Intel macs, or other platforms<br>
altogether.<br>
