Hi

It's always hard to hear these announcements.

What i can do on my part (and also i guess i can speak for all my other companions in Colombia), is keep on working voluntarily for OLPC and Sugar Labs, and try to find ways to grow together..to make things sustainable.

OLPC has been like a home and a school to me, it's sad that they are facing bad times, but they can count on me always to do whatever i can do to help.

Sugar labs it's now the place of my heart..Sugar it's conceptually what I've been looking for a project, and obviously I'm devoting a lot of time to it, to help in make the concept reality because i see every day the need for tools and oportunities to enhance education.

Sometimes i get very sad seeing kids having poor or not education at all, and i wish they could have the oportunities that i've got to know and to understand the power of colaboration and free and open knowledge, because they are the ones that will be in charge in the future.

In conclusion we have to keep on working more and more, because entire generations of children are in need of learning fundamentals to do a real change in this already damaged world, and i guess the world cannot afford to have more wasted generations.

Just crazy thoughts..

I would like to offer a _heart_felt_ thanks to everyone at One Laptop
Per Child who has made Sugar and the XO the products that they are
today.

You still are at the forefront of a revolution in learning such as the
world has not seen since the invention of the printing press.

But, this revolution, as with all revolutions, is hard to plan; there
are no maps, there is no rule book, there is no gray bearded sage to
guide your way.

Thank You
