If $2,800 is alot of money for the community as most people said. It is

Money we have deserves respect, it is shared and we take responsibility for
it. Also legal responsibility. Our reputation and well-being requires us to
be transparent and make wise financial decisions - minimum cost, maximum
benefit.

And with all the respect to you and with no prejudice, I need to underline
we are not in real need to send people who face problems traveling
internatioanlly to represent us on Scratch conference taking place on the
other hemisphere, if we can send someone who lives much closer and
therefore for much less cost. It is nothing personal, just a rational
thought.

BTW, in case something bad happens while you're in EU, 30,000 euro health
insurance may not be sufficient. Medical services are really expensive
there.

I make no accusations about your community involvement. IMO we just don't
need you traveling to France. Money should be spent to reach organization's
goals.

Sure, it's your right. As my right is to express my own opinion about this
case.

I am sorry, I don't understand this statement at all.
