[IAEP] [SLOBS] [SLOB] email motion re Scratch Conference

I am not anyhow permitted to vote, I'd like to share my mind with you,
though. I completely support Lionel's opinion.

I think Sugar Labs, as every NGO, should be really careful and strict while
making financial decisions, especially these related to spending money we
collected. Costs to benefits calculation ought to be always made and well
considered. I do not see this high expense ($2800 is a lot of money) as
something necessary and possibly more rewarding for our community than
having OLPC representation. With all respect to Samson and Ibiam and the
great work they do - I think it is not it our interest to fund such
journeys. Private and more public matters need to be distinguished.

As a EU citizen, who has already helped some foreigners to get through
arrival process to Europe, I can confirm getting Schengen visa nowadays due
to the refugee crisis seems to be definitely not easy.
