Hello laura,

Sorry laura, i still don't understand your comment too. I think what lionel
was trying to point of to me was that strict policy for the visa, which i
later pointed out that we already know the process. Secondly, lionel also
mentioned that his team can also represent Sugar/Sugarizer which i don't
understand his reason for it. But i will say it again, I and Ibiam was
invited and secondly was given the ability to take the stage in bordeaux to
share our stories.

We were invited not just because we were from Sugar Labs, because everyone
coming to Bordeaux all at least will be giving a talk on stage are either
talking about Scratch or giving a related story around Logo programming
language.

I don't see scratch in Sugarizer, correct me if i am wrong. Scratch is not
even available for Sugar also currently. I and Ibiam was chosen because we
started using Scratch and Turtle Art when we were 11 and 12 years old
respectively. We did projects with these tools while we were in junior
high. We also happen to use the OLPC device and more important i and ibiam
are both scratch educators in our country, so that is the reason why we
were chosen to come give a talk.

This is not my first trip related to the bordeaux conference, i did travel
to Nairobi without Sugar Labs support i didn't mail to ask for any fund.
But i represented Sugar Labs anyways, you can go to my facebook page and
see some pictures you both would. While in Nairobi, i spoke with the main
organizer of the Scratch bordeaux and gave him my reasons why i would like
to add Sugar Labs projects to my talk. I had to write a proposal, and we
were selected. So that how important this trip is to us.

For SFC see [1], frankly speaking i have read the policy again one more
time, i don't see anything that stand against this proposal for moving
further. SFC will do the booking themselves for hotel and tickets. The
ticket is not greater than $1,500, but it is under $1,500. But we both need
about 1,033 euros in cash that if SFC can book the hotel themselves also,
if not we will have to book the hotel ourselves. We are not applying
for *Reimbursement
Procedure.*

i don't see any reason why the proposal is receiving these comments. We are
equally trying to do
outreaching program for this community, but i am little disappointed. I
also see that this community
is slowly becoming something else.
