Caryl - As far as I know, all disbursements from Sugar Labs were either
voted by the SLOBs, or publicly discussed when quick action was required
and the amount was not large (server hardware for example). So I'm
wondering what you are referring to.

I understand the feeling of laying out personal monies for the project
without reimbursement; I myself had to stop at $5000 for marketing expenses
and travel. I do think the financials could be more clearly presented (e.g.
in an annual report). I also think Sugar Labs needs to develop recurrent
revenue, and dues/donations from members are a good (and traditional) way
of doing so. Further, in my view, clearly presented financials and
recurrent revenue would simplify expenses reimbursement (which implies
prior approval as best practice). All that said, I cannot agree that there
has been free distribution of anything to a select few, without examples to
back up the assertion (am I one of the "select few"?).

Sean.
