Correction: You should receive the voting info sometime on Jan 22, not Jan 23! Sorry!

Hello Sugar Labs members!

Due to a lot of things going on in the lives of all three members of your membership/election committee (all good things), we haven't completed the testing of the election tool. In addition, since it is summer in the Southern hemisphere and many people have vacations and activities making it more difficult to vote within the small window we originally set, we have decided to start the actual voting on Friday January 22, 2016 and conclude it on Sunday January 31. This should allow everyone plenty of time to vote.

We have a great slate of 10 candidates. It may be difficult to choose among them. You will want to make sure you have read their platforms and resumés at:

https://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/Oversight_Board/2015-2016-candidates

Remember, the top 4 ranked candidates will be elected for 2 year terms and the next 3 will be elected for one year terms. You will be putting them in your order of preference when you vote (as we have done in previous elections). The survey is set to randomize the candidate list so that it will appear in a different order for each voter. You may want to make a list of your voting preferences ahead of time. You will be asked to rank all 10 candidates.

If you are on the list of voters for this election, watch for an email that will have a link to use for voting. It should arrive sometime on January 22.

Your Membership/Election Committee
