The English Education specialist in my department just told me that Project CRISS is giving away the 3rd edition of their Manual because the 4th edition is now out.  CRISS also does professional development and may be of use to many XO deployments.  My colleague has used their materials with a wide wide range of learners, and can testify to their effectiveness.
