Rome was not built in a day. However this coming year I will also be
urging more and more teachers to self-organize under the banner of
"Realness Alliance" -- or any other banner, Mel's POSSE work, or
http://teachersWithoutBorders.org is really cool, etc -- but
http://Realness.org is the best effort I've personally seen to date to
giving teachers a powerfully coherent seat at the table of our global
open education revolution, building a powerfully nonpartisan network of
teachers allied with OLPC/Sugar but that goes even beyond. We're all
teachers after all, all 7 billion of us -- and the fact that people like
Sameer Verma and I have just induced possibly almost 100 such
LESS-technical-but-just-as-GENUINE-contributors to attend
http://olpcSF.org/CommunitySummit2010 in late October (the biggest
community/volunteer summit in the history of our young movement) is
proof this promising strategy's finally going somewhere -- do join us
for the ride :)
