Hi all,
This is supybot[1] ("meeting" nick on sugar IRC channels) plugin
implementation of transbot[2] feature (thanks to transbot developers
for this idea).
= Description =
In other words, it is about implicit translation for particular IRC
channel into several languages. People being in satellite channels, like
#sugar-ru, can type posts in Russian, all theses posts will be
translated into English and posted to #sugar. The same works in opposite
direction.
= Web chat =
The easiest way to test it is opening development instance of chat
service:
http://chat-devel.sugarlabs.org
If it [still] doesn't work, try:
http://jita.sugarlabs.org
On login screen, choose one of sugar channels and the language you want
to type posts in. Language might be "Default" that means that you need
to type in default language for IRC channel from the list.
After loginning, you can all time open new channel using combo boxes
on the leftmost side of upper toolbar.
= IRC commands =
Being logged in to IRC, you can use meeting's commands to open new
translation channels.
To list all primal channels that can be translated by meeting bot:
/msg meeting lingvo list
To open new translation channel:
/msg meeting lingvo join [channel] <lang>
If [channel] is omitted, current one will be used. <lang> is language
code, if you typed it wrong, meeting will inform you about all supported
languages.
