I have discussed this with Christian in private email.
My rationale for not doing it is:

http://sugarlabs.org/ has always been the main address for our wiki.
http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/ just redirects to it.

If we repoint this at the new web site, we'll break *all* the links
in the world pointing at us, which would be very, very unfortunate
for our search engine ranking.

Can we use Pootle for that?

Sayamindu recently installed a new instance to replace the old
pootle.laptop.org on crank.  The new service hasn't been announced
yet because it's still running on a temporary, dynamic IP.
