Roberto,
Thank you for the update. I think it worth our while to open a bug
report on this problem so that we can better track our progress in
solving your problem. (And so that the IAEP list need not follow all
of our back and forth.)
Have you ever used our bug tracker?
http://bugs.sugarlabs.org
Would you be willing to give it a try?
1. You'll need to sign up for an account on the server:
http://bugs.sugarlabs.org/register
2. Once you are logged in, create a "new ticket":
http://bugs.sugarlabs.org/newticket
3. You'll be asked for a Summary, perhaps:
Numeric and text input fails on Turtle Art under Debian
4. And a Description:
A brief summary of this correspondence (perhaps include a link to the
entire email thread
http://lists.sugarlabs.org/archive/iaep/2009-December/009645.html)
5. Under Distribution/OS, please select Debian
6. Under Component, please select Turtle Art.
7. Finally, hit the "Create Ticket" button. We'll both be included in
any follow up discussion, as will other Sugar developers. We'll also
have a record so that if a similar problem occurs in the future we may
be able to take advantage of what we learn now.
Meanwhile, I looked at the log you kindly sent me and saw nothing
suspicious. Since I am unable to reproduce the bug on my Debian
machine, I may put together a special version of TA for you to run
with more debugging information in it.
Thank you for your patience.
regards.
