[IAEP] membership guidelines again

Opps, I sent this to iaep at usgarlabs.org instead of iaep at lists.sugarlabs.org

It has come to my attention that I have been remiss in creating membership
guidelines. I was waiting for SFC to get back to us with information about
an ICA.

 ---Membership Guidelines---

Any contributor who is active in helping Sugar Labs accomplish its mission
is eligible for membership.


 Individuals who's contributions may become part of downstream projects may
be asked to sign an Individual Contributors Agreement.


 ---Membership process---

Add profile to wiki.sugarlabs.org .

Introduce yourself at a new members session.


 ---Membership philosophy---

The public profiles and introductions are not a trial. They are chance for
new members to share their portfolios, skills, and interests.


 ---Membership bylaws---



   1.

   Membership Types - Sugar Labs has two type of memberships; Individual and
   Partner. Individual memberships are merit based. Organizational memberships
   are financially based.
   1.

      Individual Member - The core of Sugar Labs will be composed of
      individual members. Individual members can run for the Oversight
Board,vote
      in board elections, and issue or endorse a referendum.
      2.

      Partners – Partners are organizations that participate in, and want to
      show support for, the Sugar Labs ecosystem. Partners can appoint a
      representative to sit on the Advisory Board.
       2.

   Membership Requirements - Membership is a statement of share goals
   between a members and Sugar Labs.
   1.

      Individual - Individual membership is a sign of shared goals with the
      Sugar Labs ecosystem. It is a sign of active involvement in Sugar Labs.
      2.

      Partner - Partnership is a sign of support for the Sugar Labs
      ecosystem. Partners are asked to publicly commit help helping Sugar Labs.
      The requested commitment fees will vary depending on the annual revenues,
      type, and location of headquarters of an organization.
       3.

   Membership Benefits - In return for their contributions, members are
   rewarded with authority and responsibility
   1.

      Individual
      1.

         Can run for the Oversight Board,vote in board elections, and issue
         or endorse a referendum.
         2.

         Will receive an @sugarlabs.org e-mail alias that forwards to their
         real e-mail.
         3.

         Can print business cards with the Sugar Labs logo.
         4.

         Can Syndication their blog on Planet Sugar Labs.
          2.

      Partner
      1.

         Can sit on the Advisory Board.
         2.

         Can participate in Sugar Labs committees, where specifications and
         guidelines are developed and where discussions are conducted;
         3.

         Can use the Sugar Labs branding on their Web site and to
         participate in press releases.
         4.

         Receive public recognition on the Sugar Labs website.
          4.

   Membership Duration and Renewal
   1.

      Individual
      1.

         Individual Membership is for one year.
         2.

         Individual members can renew their membership annually.
          2.

      Partner
      1.

         Partnership is for one year.
         2.

         Partners must be renewed annually.
          5.

   Membership Termination - Memberships may be terminated by lack of current
   participation or removal by the membership.
   1.

      Voluntary
      1.

         An Individual member will be remove from the membership roles if
         they fail to renew their membership.
         2.

         An Individual member may resign their membership at any time.
          2.

      Involuntary -- An Individual membership may be revoke by an
      affirmative vote of a two-thirds majority of the members of the
Foundation.
