That particular package referenced above is in Debian, but not my work,
and not directly coordinated with the Sugar packaging. It is a small
"dependencies-only" package made by Petter Reinholdtsen for Debian-edu,
to help that team include in their "spins" what they consider as Sugar
(e.g. it includes etoys even though the activity using etoys has not yet
been packaged).

Also, the link you provided for that package is showing only a single
branch of the package. If you want user-oriented links then please also
include the development branch (yes, those pages are identical
currently, but the "lenny" branch will most likely see no updates):
http://packages.debian.org/sid/education-desktop-sugar

Alternatively, a more technical overview of that particular package
should be here:
http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?package=education-desktop-sugar

A technical overview of all actual sugar packages that I have done (and,
it seem, will soon be expanded by great help from Ubuntu developers!) in
should be here
http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=debian-olpc-devel@lists.alioth.debian.org

(I say "should be" a I can't verify right now - those pages are
unreachable to me at the moment)

You are right that Debian-edu (a.k.a. Skolelinux) is working on
including Sugar - but that work is what you referred to in the
beginning, the above reference is to a smaller project "on the side" not
based on Debian but on OLPC snapshots (so technically based on Fedora)
to provide easy demo CDs of Sugar *now*, before the integration work
(lead by me for Debian as a whole, and then picked up by Debian-edu) is
done.

Confusing, yes. Hope I made sense here. Else feel free to ask. Again
and again...!

It is great work you are doing here, and I can imagine how challenging
it is to dive into many communities at once :-)
