Hello class,
If there is interest in experimenting with ARM processor based XO laptops,
I have one each of the following three engineering prototypes available for
loan in Rochester, NY:
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/XO_1.75_B1 (motherboard 1B1 SKU 199)
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/XO_1.75_C2 (SKU 204)
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/XO_4_B1 (SKU 292) Touch model
All three have accelerometers (which have received little software
attention in the Sugar ecosystem thus far).
One has the Neonode technology multi-touch touchscreen with the earlier,
clear, light guide.
All three have the high school click-cap keyboards.
If there is interest in building or customizing Sugar on a Stick, there is
a project,
http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/Sugar_on_a_Stick/Sugar_Clone
that enables rebuilding of a customized Sugar on a Stick installation.
(This project developed out of the first RIT OLPC/Sugar FOSS class field
trip.)
This project needs a graphical interface in Sugar to make it easier to use.
