On Friday Morning, I presented the Open Source Development process to
the Rochester Institute of Technology Honors Seminar working on the
Math4Team project [1] with FAmNA, Sugar Labs and OLPC.

After gaining insight from GDK, Mel Chua and Dave Nalley, I covered the
following topics (in no particular order):

* Order of operations for question asking - search first, then ask, but
don't be afraid to ask.
* The joy that is IRC and the mailing list
* release early and release often
* Document, Document, Document. Wiki, Mailing list etc, just be sure
it's somewhere searchable.
* And finally, GIT, repos and such.

The rest will come by doing and interacting with the community.

Some may have felt I was throwing them to the wolves, but there's only
so much I can convey in 30 minutes. I did assure the class that no one
would treat them badly because of they might be new.

In fact, Mel Chua was very welcoming while teaching some of the students
IRC basics.
