(Something to move to the Rochester-OLPC list? Not sure where that is,
writing offline atm.)

Some precedent for XO lending libraries in Boston (operational, but not
solidly implemented - the ad hoc "email individuals" method) and
Australia (more organized / better public API, but still under
construction last I heard) - setting up Rochester as a Shining Example
of what Lending Libraries Should Be would rock.

Oooh. Go for it! The Washington DC group has also been interested in
similar things. Catch jelkner or lfaraone on #sugar to ask; see if they
can get you in touch with Mike Lee (or I can, over private email).

Sounds like #2 except during school hours. Sugar on a Stick
(http://sugarlabs.org/go/Sugar_on_a_Stick#Fedora_based_Sugar_on_a_Stick)
a possible thing to try here - would need some linux-savvy techies to
make sure it works on the school's hardware first... this is *very* beta
software - Caroline can say more.
