Very small tmpfs filesystems get allocated to various directories in /var. Unfortunately, small tmpfs filesystems seem to be allocated to /var and /var/tmp as well. mikus </blockquote></div> You can alter the size of the tmpfs by editing /etc/fstab and increasing size= value.
