<br><div class="gmail_quote"><div class="gmail_quote"><span dir="ltr"></span>Hi all.<br><br>I have been trying to get a dx2 image running, built through the "osbuilder" framework (this is required for the custom-changes regarding Afghanistan deployments).<br>
<br>Following are the steps I followed :<br><br>1. Installed Virtual Box, and deployed a Fedora 11 image there.<br><br>2. Cloned the repository onto my VM, from git url <b><u>git://<a href="http://git.sugarlabs.org/dextrose/mainline.git" target="_blank">git.sugarlabs.org/dextrose/mainline.git</a></u></b><br>
<br>3. Made the following changes in <b><dextrose-mainline-folder>/examples/dextrose2-xo1-nognome.ini</b> :<br><br> a. Commented out all activities, except Terminal, for faster build process.<br> b. Put a hack, to install "sugar-0.88", and not "sugar-0.84".<br>
<br> The ".ini" file, is being sent as an attachment.<br><br>4. CD'ed to <b><dextrose-mainline-folder></b><br><br>5. Ran <b>sudo python osbuilder.py examples/dextrose2-xo1-nognome.ini</b><br>
<br>
6. The process completed successfully (albeit after a few attempts, as some missing packages on the pseudo-base f11 machine had to be installed.<br><br>7. Deployed the newly generated .img, and .crc, on the XO-1.<br><br>
8. Rebooted.<br>
<br>9. The bootup got going, however the display wudn't come up.<br><br>10. On the sugarless-terminal, I switched to "olpc" login.<br><br>11. Tried running sugar manually; however the following stacktarce was observed :<br>
