Assuming you don't need time to be accurate down to a few ms (so
potentially higher network latency doesn't matter) and access to outside
NTP servers isn't blocked by a firewall, using a pool.ntp.org vendor
zone [1] is going to be the easiest and most reliable approach.

Sugar Labs contributes two servers [2] to pool.ntp.org, BTW.
