This is sl#2064, which has been haunting us for a while.

A few days ago I have obtained full a backtrace of this bug on Fedora 14
(so it's not Dextrose specific or 0.88 specific):

I have also filed it in Red Hat's bugzilla, but so far nobody analyzed

I have kept the full coredump of the crashing project, if someone would
like to inspect the variables with gdb.
Another interesting question is: what exactly is the Sugar shell process
doing while a file is downloading? We already suspect dbus, but finding
the exact function call that triggers the bug may let us create a
minimal testcase that triggers the bug quickly and is easier to debug.
