Dear all,

This email is to share some ideas regarding the activities that could be developed over the upcoming year as well as to take stock of our last year's work.

First, we would like to inform you about a problem regarding the technical functioning of this mailing list. Unfortunately, our server suffered malicious attacks that affected our ability to manage the list, resulting in the random removal of several email addresses from the DCPR list. We are now transitioning to a new mailing list, for which you are invited to sign up here: http://eepurl.com/gfWJwf

We plan to migrate and terminate this list by 28 February, so we hope that you don't miss this opportunity to remain in touch. Subscription to the new mailing list will take less than a minute.

Second, both of us would like to thank all those who have provided comments on the Best Practices. They have been very useful and we have now a consolidated version that you may find here, in case you want to add some further comments https://docs.google.com/document/d/18hC7s0ca-sLiK2jr4RcB-w2KIZ5cdNKMy0XsPRgCebE/edit?ts=5c5a141f

Here you can download a Word version with all track-changes https://we.tl/t-spGb3hJExV

If there will be no suggestions to modify the content of the Best Practice by 28 February, we will consider this as the final version to include in our annual outcome document. Should there be further suggestions, we will organise an extra round of consultations.

Lastly, as it emerged during our working meeting, in November at UNESCO, it would be good to organise a further collective work to explore new dimensions of platform responsibility. We are pleased to say that the Computer Security and Law Review has accepted to host a special issue, which will be published in conjunction with the 5 year anniversary of the DCPR.

We are preparing a draft call for Papers on “Platform Values”, which will aim to bring together a range of perspectives to be explored in the special CSLR issue that we hope to present at the IGF next November in Berlin.

Please feel free to share any thoughts, ideas or comments on the issues mentioned above. Otherwise, stay tuned, we will share the CfP soon to both the current and the “new” DCPR mailing list.

All the best

Luca & Nicolo
