 Thanks for the question.  The workflow for XO laptop images has two
 sensible places where this can be done:
 * the packaging step for the Sugar component, or;
 * the post-install patching in olpc-os-builder.

 In both cases the reversing patch is straightforward.  Packaging patches
 are already applied for other reasons, see
 [http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/sugar.git/tree/ downstream].  Post-
 install patching was done in olpc-os-builder

 You might also check with the Sugar packagers.
